Recognizing how great God is and how wonderful He is to us, we believe that worship should be joyous and Spirit-filled. You will find our services characterized by singing, dancing, crying, laughing, hand-lifting, hand-clapping and anointed preaching and teaching as we experience the presence of the Lord.
Worship is defined as an act of reverence towards someone or something; to hold in highest esteem; a feeling of deep respect, love and awe. We worship God for who He is, for his divine character. In order to effectively worship God, we need to get a perspective of who we are in relation to who He is.
“…know ye that the Lord, He is God; it is He that hath made us and not we ourselves. We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise.” (Psalm 100:3-4a)
“…God is spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth.”
(John 4:21-24)
Praise is defined as acts that glorify. We praise God for what He does and is able to do. Acts of praise usher us into the presence of God.
Standing to Worship – “After this I beheld and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations and kindreds, and people, and tongues, STOOD before the throne…” (Revelation 7:9)
Lifting Our Hands – “Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and bless the Lord.” (Psalm 134:2)
“I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”
(I Timothy 2:8)
Clapping Our Hands – “O clap your hands all ye people, shout unto God with the voice of triumph.” (Psalm 47:1)
Sing Choruses as well as Hymns – “…be filled with the Spirit; speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymn, and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in you heart to the Lord.” (Ephesians 5:18-19)
Dancing (Shouting) – “Let them praise his name in the dance….” (Psalm 149:3)
